To the Honorable Prime Minister of the State of
Palestine
His Excellency
Dr. Rami Hamdallah
A Saloom Aleikem
Congratulations, îæì èåá ,تهنئة
As Orthodox Jews true to the Torah, we wish to express our very best wishes for the success of Your Excellency as the chosen Prime Minister of the new Palestinian Unity Government.
On
this momentous occasion we pray to the Almighty to guide Your Excellency in
leading the Palestinian nation, which has gone through so many years of
suffering and deprivation, to peace, freedom and prosperity.
As
Jewish people, we have enjoyed a long history of harmonic coexistence with the
Arab populace of Palestine. Our Rabbis and elders have always taught us – as
required by our religion - to remember and be grateful for the kindness and
friendship accorded us in Palestine and other Muslim and Arab countries,
throughout the generations. Therefore our hearts are rent and we share the pain
and suffering that has befallen our Palestinian brethren. With the creation of
this Unity Government, we certainly are hopeful that a beginning of a bright
and shining future has begun. The true freedom and restoration of all the
rights of the suffering Palestinian nation, should, with the help of the
Almighty, become a reality, in the near future.
We yearn for the day when
Arabs and Jews will once again live
together, with trust, peace, and tranquility
in a free Palestine.
May
the Almighty bestow upon Your Excellency, His true blessings.
May
the Almighty grant that Your Excellency’s glory, be exalted.
May
the Almighty protect Your Excellency, from all evil.
May
the Almighty bless, Your Excellency’s ministers and counselors.
May
the Almighty grant Your Excellency, success in leading the great State of
Palestine in peace and prosperity.
We
await the day when the entire world will recognize the sovereignty of the
Creator, and the words of the prophet Isaiah will yet be fulfilled: ”No nation will lift its sword against any other, nor will
they learn warfare anymore.” And all the nations will serve The Almighty
together.
We wish to extend our warmest greetings to
all the people and leaders of the State of Palestine, and our very best wishes
for prosperity and success in all their endeavors.
